(copy pasted from my FA journal here --> www.furaffinity.net/journal/22… )

I have had 7 notes and many many comments about this in the past week (are tailmouths making a comeback? hahah) so this calls for some clarification!

first of all, ANYONE CAN MAKE A TAILMOUTH, you don't have to ask me or show me or anything if you don't want. You can change anything you want. It doesn't have to have hair-ears, you don't have to call it a tailmouth, it can be anthro, it can be anywhere on the human-furry scale, it can be a transgender velociraptor for all I care.

Some people have started making tailmouth adoptables, which is totally cool by me! Go wild and do what you want, change what you want, charge what you want... so long as you drew them yourself.

Some people have been using my lineart for these tailmouth adoptables. This gets a little more tricky, so I am setting some rules for using my lineart for adoptables.

1) PLEASE DO NOT CHARGE MORE THAN $1 (or the equivalent in DA points) FOR A TAILMOUTH ADOPTABLE USED FROM MY BASE, WHETHER IT IS A "CUSTOM" OR NOT.

2) PLEASE LINK TO BOTH ME AS THE CREATOR OF THE LINEART AND LINK TO THE LINEART ITSELF.

3) PLEASE STATE SOMEWHERE IN THE ARTIST DESCRIPTION OF THE ADOPTABLES THAT I HAVE SAID ANYONE IS FREE TO MAKE THEIR OWN.

Please please please, I'd really appreciate it if you guys follow these guidelines! if anyone questions your adoptables, you can feel free to link them to this journal so that they know you're in the clear.

Are we allowed to use your linearts and remove the mouth on the tail, or just remove the tail?
Just wondering, because I really enjoy your poses.

I have quick question for rule #1 what happens if it is an auction and it starts lower than $1 but get higher than that? is that kinda breaking the rules?

:icontailmouth:

that's breaking the rules ONLY if it was done on my lineart.
If it was something drawn yourself, then it's fine, and can be sold for any price.

I have a question ^-^
in respects to the 1$ rule~It i am running an auction may I go above that?
Also if it is part of a bundle (i general give away art in bundles with multiple pieces included) is it ok to go above.
Im not taking crazy above but like 3-10$ if its in a bundle

I'll go ahead and answer this for you.

I would think auctions are not okay - it's still selling for a dollar no matter how you do so.

However if it's a bundle, you should consider how much the other pieces are worth - honestly, not so you can get away with it. If the tailmouth is worth a dollar, but the other adopt in the pack is worth 9, than I would think it would be okay. Why you would pair adopts of such different prices I don't know - but if you have a bundle of 5 adopts for 5$, than if they are all equally worth 1$, it should be okay, even if they're all tailmouths.

Hey I have something to ask about the limit. If I draw and colour a lineart of yours by hand (not printed or traced, just copy what I see) would I still be limited to the 100point/$1 limit? Or is it fine for me to auction? Or do I have to change a bit?

You may want to clarify in this section the actual equivalent of a dollar in points. Because it is 80 points to the dollar, however, if you use their purchase key and decide to convert your points BACK into money, it becomes 100 points because they take 20% of the profit made off of the purchase button.

However, SINCE it is 100 points when using the purchase button, people simply sell them for 100 whether that button is used or not.

I'm not sure if you mind either way, but I wanted to bring it to your attention.

Thank you so much for making this species, I absolutely love it. One question, Tail mouth, mawtail, mouth tail, are they all the same, just different names? If so, can you tell me the differance? I would love to know. c:

I suppose some people have differences, but for me, "tailmouth" is the word you use for the body and overall species and "mouthtail" is the actual tail itself, if that makes sense. 'w'

Okay, I only have Paint so I'll have to design my own. (Because paint is stupid and doesn't go all the way around up to the lines) BUT if I just copy your linearts I'm still going to link to the original and explain... Is that allowed?

Well, yes, I know it is 80 = $1 but to make it easier if you're trying to do the whole convert points to money, it's just easier to say 100 = $1 so you don't have to type this whole paragraph out.
